Smith Park, named in honor of Mayor J. Fred Smith is located on the east side of Rexburg. It is extremely popular with our community because of the location and many great features the park has to offer.

Summer in Smith Park is alive with activties and events including art & concert programs, youth baseball & soccer games, the Teton DAM Marathon finish line and more. The park remains busy during the winter months with a small sledding hill and cleared walking path. The featured winter event is the Rexburg SnowFEST held on the 4th Saturday in January.

Porter Park, named in honor of Arthur Porter, Jr., is situated in downtown Rexburg. The park offers a variety of features (listed at the top), including the jewel of the park, the historic Idaho Centennial Carousel. In 2005 a new walking path was added around the park and in the summer of 2006 the Splash Park project was completed.

The Nature Park is a great place for joggers and cyclists to exercise in a beautiful environment. Located near the fairgrounds on the west side of Rexburg, this 15 acre park has something for everyone. Away from traffic, the pathways provide beautiful and tranquil scenes around the park ponds and ties into Eagle Park located just north of Nature Park along the Teton River. Wildlife and waterfowl can often be seen in the Park.

The ponds are available for fishing all year long. A valid Idaho fishing license is required. General regulations are enforced. One pond has been designed for children under 12 years of age.

Special consideration has been given to accommodate the needs of handicapped or physically challenged individuals.

The Clair Boyle Skate Park is a popular spot. This large area is covered with concrete jumps, hills, and bowls designed to help boarders, bladers, skaters, and bikers develop and improve their skills.

 


Eagle Park Campground
 
Eagle Park Campground is north of the Madison County Fair Grounds, (next to Walters Ready Mix). Cost is $10 per night. Call City Hall @ 359-3020 for reservations
Eagle Park is a year-round campground located next to the Teton River in Rexburg. With 24 camp sites and amenities such as drinkable water & bathrooms, Eagle Park is great place for friends, family, scout troops or individuals to enjoy their camping experience.

Winter camping is also available for anyone who wants to challenge the elements.

 


Hidden Valley Park
On Mill Race Rd. in the Hidden Valley subdivision
Hidden Valley park is in the early stages of development. City Crews and Hidden Valley residents will be working hard this spring to develop this park.

 


Evergreen / Kiwanis Park
At the corner of Main St. & Pioneer Rd. across from the municipal golf course in Rexburg.
This is a wonderful open space park located on the west end of Rexburg. A fun playground system is in place for kids to enjoy. Because of the open space, Evergreen / Kiwanis Park is perfect for activities like football, ultimate frisbee, soccer and more.

 


Rotary Park
 
Rotary Park is located on Rodney Dr. in the Millhollow subdivision, (behind the high school)
Rotary Park is a pocket park. With a small playground system, trees, picnic tables and some open space, Rotary Park is great for young children and small families.

 


Park Street Park
At the corner of 5th West & Park St.
Park St. Park is a pocket park with swings, a slide and open space for kids to run, throw or kick a ball around. Trees around the park make it a great place to have a family picnic or relax with a good book.
