Snowmobiling: Now in our 6th season of providing guided 4-STROKE snowmobile tours from the summit of Schweitzer! From over 1,000 guests we have repeatedly heard that we surprised the heck out of them with our beautiful scenery, helpful and caring guides and our cool trail layouts. There's no better way to get the entire family in on one sport at Schweitzer, make sure you make this a part of your Schweitzer adventure package.

Cat skiing: A guest told us that the Selkirks were created by God for skiers. It's no wonder then that 90% of the Canadian helicopter ski companies operate in the Selkirk range. After using Schweitzer's 6-minute summit lift, we drop-in along a private, 3-mile north / south running ridgeline with west-bound shoulders. We ski 6 regions of primarily west/s/w-facing and north/n/w-facing 20 to 40 degree pitches between 6600' and 4500'. Our average run is 1,200ft vertical and our longest is 2800ft. The old growth trees are nicely spaced, the loggers do a remarkably good job with high-lines and the glaciers carved out features no park could produce.
With our operation at treeline, intimidating alpine-type features and fog are not significant.
Return ascents in the snowcat are roughly 20 minutes.
