Aldape Park is a Mini Park located in east Boise. This is a great open area park. Aldape Heights began it's park development when the property was annexed into Boise City limits in 1964.
Ann Morrison Park

Ann Morrison Park is a Large Urban Park located near downtown Boise. The park is 145 acres and features a reflecting pool with water cascading from an illuminated spray fountain, gardens, Candy Cane Playground, tennis courts, lighted softball diamonds, soccer and football fields, and a picnic pavilion-all provide many leisure opportunities for visitors. A recent addition to the park is an accessible waterway downriver from the pedestrian bridge.
The park is named after Anna Daly, who married Harry W. Morrison, founder of the Morrison-Knudsen Company in 1914.
Baggley

Baggley Park is a Neighborhood Park located in southeast Boise. The park is over 7 acres, featuring a playground and basketball court. Baggley Park was a purchase/donation acquisition. New amenities include a perimeter pathway, restroom building and a picnic shelter.
Barber Observation Point

The Barber Observation Point is a 2 acre Special Use area located in east Boise. This is a great spot to observe the natural wildlife in the Boise Valley.

Bernardine Quinn Riverside

Bernardine Quinn Riverside Park is an undeveloped park located north of the Boise River between Fairview Avenue and Veterans Parkway, and is dominated by a 22-acre pond. Adjacent to the Greenbelt, the park will include fishing docks, a small beach area for canoe landings, and picnic area with a shelter. Currently, there is one handicap accessible dock at Quinn's Pond.
Boise Depot

The Boise Depot is a beautiful historic Spanish-style structure operated by the Boise Parks & Recreation Department. Designed by New York architects, the building opened in 1925 to elaborate fanfare in the capital city.
With a splendid panoramic view of the Boise Front, the building grounds include Platt Gardens, a lovely park with pathways, a gazebo and a koi pond.
Depot amenities include The Great Hall, a soaring 3,542-square-foot multi-story atrium that once served as the building's waiting room.
Borah

Borah Park is a Neighborhood Park located near the Boise Bench. The park is over 9 acres, featuring a playground, shelter, and swimming pool. It was acquired through a purchase agreement with the Boise Independent School District in 1965. The main objectives for both parties was the construction of an outdoor swimming pool.

Camel's Back

The Camel's Back Park site was acquired by the City of Boise in 1932 from Bernard Lemp, a relative of a former mayor. The developed portion of the park is approximately 11 acres. The park was developed primarily through individual and organization donations, including National Guard, local Rotary Club, Optimist Club, and the Boise Jaycees. The park was dedicated in 1965. Park amenities include a playground, tennis courts, picnic area, and access to the foothills.

Cassia Park is approximately 14 acres. It has as a covered shelter, playground, softball field and tennis courts. The property for the park was acquired in 1967 and it was developed through matching funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Castle Hills

Castle Hills Park is a small Neighborhood Park located in Northwest Boise. The park is 5 acres and features a playground, tennis courts, softball diamonds, soccer and football fields for visitors to enjoy.
Catalpa

In 1996, the City's Parks and Recreation Department purchased three residential properties totaling 6.5 acres, to be developed as a park in the century-old Collister neighborhood. The park site is adjacent to Collister Elementary School, which was built in 1912 and is included on the National Register of Historic Places. The properties were managed as rental units until development funding was allocated in 2000.
With input from neighbors, three concept designs were created and included a perimeter walking path, playground, restroom, shelter, sand volleyball court, horseshoe pits, tennis courts, basketball court and an informal skate board area. It also included preserving the mature trees on site. The Catalpa Neighborhood Park was dedicated on August 13, 2002.
Charles F. McDevitt Youth Sports Complex

Charles F. McDevitt Sports Complex is a Special Use Park located in west Boise near Eagle. The park is 30 acres with another 10 acres left to develop. The youth sports complex features picnic areas, a playground, several little league fields, a fishing pond, and a skate park.

Cypress

Cypress Park is a small Neighborhood Park located in southeast Boise. The park is 7 acres and features a playground, picnic area, and a large open area for visitors to enjoy. Recent additions are a new restroom, covered picnic shelter, walking path, tennis court, and 35 trees.
It is formerly known as Breckenridge park, came about as a property dedication through the Breckenridge Homeowners Association. The condition was that the property remain a public park area.
DeMeyer

DeMeyer Park is a large neighborhood park located in West Boise. The park is 11 acres and complete with picnic areas, volleyball court, basketball court, and a playground.
The 10-acre parcel that is now DeMeyer Park was given to the city in 1977 by Albert and Hazel DeMeyer. The park is the site of the original ranch home with barns, silo and pond.
A plaque in the park says: "DeMeyer Park In Honor of Our Children Arlen, Eugene, Joanna dedicated to children may they play here in freedom with harmony and happiness"
Joanna "Jody" DeMeyer later contributed more than $200,000 for the design of a shelter/restroom structure.

Fairmont

Fairmont Park is a neighborhood park located near Fairmont Jr. High School in West Boise. The park is 7 acres and features an L-shaped swimming pool, playground, tennis courts, softball diamonds, 1 soccer field, and a picnic area to provide leisure opportunities for all visitors.
The construction of the Fairmont Park was a joint agreement between Boise City and Boise School District. After a long process the park was completed in 1977.

Fort Boise Park was acquired in 1950 from the federal government after the Defense Department has declared it surplus. It was originally 40.37 acres, but in 1956, several acres were traded to the Idaho Elks organization in exchange for a site of approximate the same size off of State Street. The site is currently about 33 acres in size.

Appointed by mayor and city council, Gordon S. Bowen served as director for the Boise Parks & Recreation Department from 1956-1978. He is also the author of Boise's Parks: A Cause and a Trust.

Hillside Park is a community park located in north Boise. The park is 15 acres featuring 4 tennis courts, 2 lighted softball diamonds, an equestrian area, and a track.
Through a leasing agreement Hillside Jr. High School was able to work with Boise city in order to build this area. In agreement for the school to use the track and softball fields in conjunction with the public a contract was signed. After several difficult set backs Hillside was completed in 1976.

Ivywild Park is approximately 18 acres. The park's most recognizable feature is the outdoor Ivywild Pool, which includes a toddler pool and slides. The pool was built in part with anonymous donations from a member of the community. The park also consists of a shelter, tennis courts, softball field and playground. The playground was renovated in 2003.

Kathryn Albertson Park is a Special Use Park located near downtown Boise. The park is 41 acres in size and was designed to be an attractive home for resident and migratory wildlife in downtown Boise. It features wide, paved footpaths which wind through the park carrying walkers past colorful, informative signs inlaid in large rocks. The signs describe wildlife and environmental themes throughout the park. Highlights include outdoor gazebos, a fountain, a cross-section of the world's largest Ponderosa Pine, glimpses of wildlife, including a large population of nesting waterfowl, and access to the Greenbelt.

O'Farrell Cabin

In June, 1863, John A. O'Farrell cleared his land and built this single-room cabin for his young wife and family on the block across the street from its current location. It is considered the first family home in Boise, as well as the first place of Catholic worship in Boise.
The cabin was restored to its' 1912 condition in 2002. The cabin retains 85% of its original construction and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
Optimist Youth Sports Complex

Currently restroom facilities are not available for drop-in use. Restrooms are open during scheduled sporting events only.

Quarry View Park was built on land leased by the City of Boise from the State of Idaho. The land was leased to the City for 50 years in 1983 and was to be used for park development. Quarry View Park is completely developed today and consists of a reservable shelter, basketball court, tennis court, playground and open space. The park is approximately 11 acres in size.

Dog Parks
Military Reserve Off-Leash Park:
The Military Reserve Off-Leash Park is located at the corner of Mountain Cove Road and Reserve Street and is currently the only off-leash park in Boise.
Partnerships with the community will help to make improvements to this site and aid in the development of other off-leash areas. Volunteers are always needed, as well as, funding. Donations may be made to Boise Parks & Recreation in care of the Off Leash Area Heritage Trust Account at 1104 Royal Blvd, Boise, ID 83706. Donations are specifically earmarked for the development of off-leash areas.
